Just went in there yesterday because my transmission was making funny noises and seemed to be slipping. I was originally anticipating taking it to the dealership until I saw the reviews on AAMCO were much higher... and for good reason. I saw tons of positive reviews on Kevin and when I called, he was the one I worked with. Kevin offered to have a tow truck pick me up at a local dealer rate but I have AAA so I told him I could get the car to him free of charge.
My cousin and I were traveling from North Carolina to California and his car broke down in Atlanta. My cousin called his insurance and told us that they covered up to 100 miles so we maximized that distance and it fortunately landed us in the hands of AAMCO. We arrived there first thing in the morning and we told our story to Kevin, who did nothing but CONSTANTLY HELP US OUT. He was sympathetic to our situation and immediately worked on the car to rebuild the entire transmission. He was able to complete EVERYTHING that we needed and we were able to get out of Georgia within the day. My cousin and I never felt so much customer service satisfaction as we did that one fateful day that we broke down and Kevin was there to get us up and running and continue our journey across the country. Thanks AAMCO and your entire team for everything you did and we have reached California safely. For people who need any work on their car or transmission, please go to AAMCO and they will do everything they can to help you and get you on your way.
Great service. Great price. Very personable and helpful. These guys take pride in what they do. The first mechanic I took my car to said to replace the transmission. I'm glad I had it towed to AAMCO because the transmission was fine. it was my clutch. They took the time to explain and show me what had happened and didn't gouge my wallet. I would highly recommend taking your car here.

I just got my 1998 Suburban transmission fluid changed at this AAMCO location. Mr. Kevin is very nice and helpful, my car transmission was carefully checked and fluid was replaced within 1.5 hours, very impressive and very professional. Price is also reasonable. Very honest people to deal with, I highly recommend. Thank you Kevin.
My clutch pedal was getting really stiff when the weather got hot and was slipping on occasion. I went into AAMCO really worried about what was wrong and how much it would cost. I left it there and waited for a few hours. Got a call from Kevin informing me that there wasn't a problem and that the clutch pedal just needed a slight adjustment. The grand total for my repair was $20. The taxi ride home and back cost more than that! Needless to say I was happy and incredibly relieved. I went in thinking there was a serious problem and they easily could have charged me a few hundred dollars more. I think that says a lot about their honesty. Their technicians are experienced and their customer service is excellent. I would recommend anyone with transmission issues to take your car to AAMCO and talk to Kevin.
An "A" rate mechanic. Excellent work at a fair price. These kind of mechanics are very hard to find and once you find them you have a mechanic for the long haul. No gouging, added prices and changing quotes. I got an estimate after being fully informed and thats what I paid. The manager, Kevin, was extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I will be back and highly recommend to this place!
Took my car to this AAMCO based on good reviews on Kudzu. Kevin was very professional in explaining the process of getting an estimate and each step thereafter. The final bill was about what I had initially feared (needed a rebuild), but there were no surprises and everything was explained and shown to me to my satisfaction. Turn-around time was within what they estimated (3-5 days). And there is an Enterprise rental very close by on Buford Hwy which gave me a 10% discount when I told them my car was here.
I had some troubles starting my car the other day with no warning. I was late for work, so I called the first place I could find that would look at my car the same day. These guys were great, they figured out my battery was dead and didn't try to gouge me with a new alternator.
I've been calling around all morning trying to get a great quote on a transmission flush for my 2008 Ford Escape and all roads pointed to a gentleman named "Kevin." I just called the Aamco on Bufford hwy in Atlanta GA and and I can see why Pep Boys and Jiffy Lube told me to give him a ring. Not only did I get my quote but he asked specifically what the problem was (in my opinion) better informed me of what I should do first to save money and who doesn't like to save money? If I have a problem or not I'll definitely take it to Kevin at AAMCO 1st. I hope those guys over there have a happy holiday season and Thank you for the support.
Honest mechanic. After getting a ridiculously high estimate from a local Ford dealership to put a new transmission into my 2010 Ford Fusion, I called AAMCO Transmission on Buford Highway to see if they could help. I live an hour from this location but was inclined to give them a call after reading all of the positive feedback online. Kevin was extremely helpful and offered to look at my vehicle free of charge. I was very pleased with his positive attitude and I actually felt like I was dealing with an honest person, unlike most mechanics. After looking at my vehicle, Kevin gave me an estimate for the work that was significantly less than the offers I had received elsewhere. I highly recommend this AAMCO location if you want to deal with an honest and knowledgeable mechanic.
